High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.

We wanted to go find a good budget meal so my party of 3 went to applebee's. my friend had gone before and wasn't too keen on the idea of going again, but we went since we just wanted to eat pronto. all 3 of us ordered drinks -- coke, shirley temple, and water. ALL THREE were disgusting. the water was clearly "too" tap--if that makes sense --coke was watered down, and shirley temple was watered down. one of us got the $10 3 course meal (appetizer, entree, desert). this is definitely a great price, but I didn't think it was worth it. most of the entrees were actually 11.99 since there were items like steak. I ordered the house steak, in which I asked for medium sear. Instead, I got OVER well-done....so hard. The meat was like a hamburger patty. The side of mashed potatoes were really good, and vegetables were clean and fresh. There were some really nice random fresh onions on the steak, and some that were just carameled. that was confusing. I asked for the .99 add on in which you can have bacon and cheese sizzling over my mashed potatoes, but it was not done. it was still charged to the bill, and it took a good 15 minutes before she adjusted the check for us. my friend on the $10 3 course got boneless wings (which doesn't make sense cause they could've just called it nuggets) with a couple celery sticks and ranch. it was eh. then he got a caesar salad, but was drenched in toooooo much ranch. it was a good salad though if it weren't for all that dressing. his entree was a sirloin, which i did not try. the desert was a hot fudge sundae, which wasn't that appetizing. it was a tiny cup as well. my other friend got a dish that had tortillas where you put in the cheese, rice, gucamole, tomatoes....i forget the name of it. for a few tortillas, it came with a plate of 2 cheddar square slices. we didn't understand how that was enough and why we had to shred it down. so we asked for shredded cheese. the chicken was clearly cooked from frozen, and it was decent. overall, we won't be going again. we all did not like it. it's edible if youre starving and have no where to go, but we were not impressed. it seems like a good place for the least of picky eaters.... i guess it's cause i've tasted better at same-priced chains. our waitress was very slow and we had to wait a long time before getting any checks or updated checks. a party behind us came later than us and still left earlier than us. and the table in FRONT of us I heard them complaining about the waitress (same as ours) because she wouldn't give them attention. PS: oh and have you ever gone to a restaurant with leather seats, that "feel" dirty?

This was a super fun dining experience! The food was brought out quickly and tastes delicious, and our glasses never even got to be half empty before a refill was on the table! The wait staff were remarkably friendly, to the point where we left a tip for someone not helping our table! Highly recommended for outlet shoppers!

We came to eat here waitress was very nice and food was great. We had a good experience. Would definitely come back. Thank you !!!

I like chain restaurants because usually the food is constant and there's standard service practices in place. This location seemed to fall a little short..... Our waitress seemed irritated and unfamiliar with the menu. When we asked her specific questions about the dishes and modifications she leaned across the table and bend down all over our table to look at the menu. Not only was this unprofessional but unsanitary and really turned me off. Portion sizes were small and dishes were so-so. There was a table of seven nearby that were very loud and nothing was said by the management to tone it down. It made having a conversation at our table difficult. Not the best Applebee's experience.....

11 for a burger.. the in-house made chips were fine,, but the burger I didn't even eat.. looks like they make the burgers in house.. so it was about as thick as a pancake and cold.. the edges look like charcoal.. funny the waitress asked how I wanted it done,, no way a burger this thin could be anything but well done.... service was terrible.. the waitress stood talking with another server the whole time.. took her 10 mins, I guess she need a break from talking to come over. we got the shrimp app.. it looked like it was tossed onto a plate.. just a pile with too much of the sauce they put on it.. paid 30 for 2 burgers and app.. my wife's was at least edible... so I paid 30 and will never eat at an applebees.. by the looks of the lack of crowd on a thursday that everyone else is doing the same.

First and last time we'll eat here. Food wasn't horrible, but definitely bland and not presented in an appetizing manner. When we walked in, the host looked at us and then started fiddling with menus and the stand. Then he walked off. We figured he was doing something, even though he didn't even acknowledge us as we entered. The restaurant was nowhere near busy. He walked about 45 feet away, then turned to look behind him. He waved at us to come down to where he was. Still not a word spoken. We got to the booth, he placed the menus down and walked off. The waiter came up to us a few minutes later. Service was ok, but nothing that could make up for the lackluster food and initial issue with the host. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Standard Applebees food. The service is always great!!! I come here for karaoke only. The DJ is super cool and the crowd is down to earth. I can't really give Applebees food more than 3 stars because it's not good to me; however this location gets an AWESOME for service and friendly customers. I will continue to come as long as they have karaoke. ;-)

Applebee's has a refreshed menu and should appeal to all. However somethings need improvement. For example, their menu list a small Caesar salad in two locations. One price is $4.00 and the other $3.99. I was charged $4.00. I had the great looking meatball hero. Unfortunately it was served while we were only half thru our salads. The roll was toasted and cheese melted. However the roll tasted stale and was cold. The meatballs were room temperature at best. But the sauce had a nice bite to it. Service was so-so but that's an individual issue rather than franchise as other servers seemed more attentive.

ApplebeeZ has no business in a charming resort town like this. ApplebeeZ is Wendy's quality food at grownup prices. If you want the same cookie cutter craptastic meal wherever you go ... head to a chain mega-restaurant like this. Rehoboth is awesome because places like this are still kinda' rare and there is lots of local culture. Avoid the chains ... the more you eat there, the more they take the place over.

So done with Applebee's. New over priced menu is lame. Lunch today was like bad reheated McDonald's. No thank you. Not for $30. Stick to kettle corn in the same outlet.

Our Applebee's visit was a solid 3 stars. We were seated in a somewhat timely manner, but it took forever for our waiter to come and greet us. The menu is good drunk food (wings and such) but not much else. This location also sells $1 Jello shots; my friend and I each had one but they were probably the only highlight of the visit (he had raspberry lemonade, I had orange sherbert) I ordered the pecan salad and my friend ordered the ceasar. He seemed to enjoy his, while mine was just okay. I think the brown sugar they baked into the chicken breading was way too sweet for the rest of the salad and it had little bits of celery which was rather odd as well. Then we asked for seperate checks and he printed out our orders, but then somehow charged my friend for the full bill. I ended up just reimbursing him since I had cash, but it was kind of annoying.
(3)Jenn O.
Positive: Nice waitress. Negatives: Dirty! Greasy handprints on the windows, even though the restaurant had opened only 20 minutes earlier. Nasty smell where we were seated of rancid grease. Fryers were too cold, and therefore the fries and chicken tenders were disgusting. Host was brusque at best and needs to work on his social skills.
